1. As we kick off a new year, it’s the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and take stock of what 2025 looked like across large-format print applications. At Venture Banners, we work closely with trade customers across a wide range of sectors, which gives us a unique insight into how demands shift throughout the year.

While the details below are indicative rather than exact, they paint a picture of how large-format print demand has continued to evolve. From the ongoing strength of classic products to the growing momentum behind textile displays, here’s our 2025 large-format print trends round-up.

Flags: Seasonal peaks and steady growth

  1. Flags remain one of our strongest and most consistent application areas, particularly for car dealerships. Throughout 2025, we’ve produced a high volume of flags for these customers with the car foot flag base proving especially popular.

Demand for this product peaked in July with orders including both new car feet and replacement flags for existing installations, highlighting how flags continue to deliver long-term value rather than being a one-off purchase.

More broadly, flag sales across all formats pick up significantly during the summer months, reflecting their visibility and effectiveness in outdoor environments. Over the past year, we’ve also seen overall flag sales increase steadily, reinforcing their role as a reliable, high-impact signage solution for a wide range of applications.

When it comes to hardware, the metal ground spike continues to stand out as our most popular flag base. Sales of this product have grown consistently over the past three years, demonstrating a preference for durable, versatile solutions that can be utilised across multiple locations and reused over time.

Heras Fencing Banners: The all-round performer

  1. Heras fencing banners continued to be a dependable all-rounder in 2025 and it’s no surprise as it’s the ideal solution for everything from construction sites to events and temporary installations. What’s particularly notable this year is the clear material preference.

    • Airmesh
    • Heras fencing banners are a great all-rounder and AirMesh has been our most popular material since launching it in January 2025
  1. AirMesh Polyester has been our most popular material for Heras fencing banners. We launched this product in January 2025 after recognising growing demand for textile signage and breathable materials that perform well in outdoor environments, and the demand we’ve seen in 2025 shows that this product was something the industry was seeking. Its vibrant image quality, lightweight nature, and environmental benefits combined with the wider industry move towards textile-based signage, has made it a natural choice for many of our trade customers.

Heading to Roller banners: Traditional, but far from declining

  1. Despite the shift towards fabric solutions, traditional roller banners remain incredibly strong. In fact, sales have steadily increased year on year from 2023 through to 2025.

This year, we saw a clear peak in May, compared to more even sales patterns across the calendar in both 2023 and 2024. This suggests that while roller banners are still used year-round, certain seasonal or campaign-driven spikes are becoming more noticeable.

    • Traditional roller banner demand remains strong despite a shift towards textile displays
  1. In terms of volume, the numbers speak for themselves. In 2025, we sold 23,186 square metres of roller banner material, up from 21,008 square metres in 2024. This growth shows that traditional formats still play a key role in the signage mix, particularly where speed, portability, and familiarity are key.

For many customers, roller banners remain a go-to product that complements newer fabric-based displays rather than competing with them.

Pop-Ups: A gradual shift towards fabric

  1. One area where we’ve seen change is in traditional pop-up displays. Over the course of 2025, there’s been a slight decline in demand for classic pop-ups, with customers increasingly favouring fabric-based solutions instead.

  1. This shift is very much in line with the wider trend we’re seeing with growing demand for textile signage. Fabric systems offer flexibility, ease of transport and a more contemporary aesthetic, making them an attractive option for exhibitions, retail and promotional environments.

That said, the change has been gradual showing that pop-ups still have their place, but the direction of travel is clear as textile alternatives continue to gain traction.

  1. Overall, 2025 has been a year of evolution. Established products like flags, roller banners, and Heras fencing banners continue to perform strongly, while material choices and display formats are steadily shifting towards textiles.
